"Body. Hair." was created during a residency with Talking Genders at ARoS Public Atelier (DK) July 2020.

"Body. Hair." is a performance, ritualistic experience where the body transforms into a different and unknown being. It is a personal exploration of Rita Maria's relationship to her own body and the gazes that see it. Themes around vulnerability permeate the work, and through a slow-moving exploration of body and hair a creature evolves; longing, wanting, seeking to be seen.

With some scissors, white paper, a bowl of milk-like glue, and hair the body will evolve in front of your eyes.
